In the third and final T20I match between England and Pakistan on Tuesday in Manchester, the audience saw something beautiful on the screen. A man proposed to his girlfriend during the match, and she received the “Yes” answer she had hoped for. In front of more than 20,000 people from the Old Trafford crowd, the beloved couple was beautifully captured on camera in the ninth of the match. The man was identified as Phil and Mrs. Jill by commentator David Lloyd. The Cricket Board of England and Wales (ECB) also tweeted and greeted the pair. “Waiting for the decision … YES it got it! Congratulations Phil and Jill!” tweeted the ECB.
The video was well received by fans and garnered over 70,000 views in 30 minutes after it was posted on Instagram.
The resulting video was completed by David Lloyd’s comments and announcers with “Unresolved” graphics when the incident occurred.
“Hello, what’s going on here? Oh, not another, not another. Big screen too …. Jill and Phill, the decision is waiting … and here she said YES …,” David said Lloyd’s comment in his day.
In cricket, England won the third T20I against Pakistan and won the 3-match series 2-1.
Jason Roy was part of the English team as he ran away with 64 runs in 36 balls in 155 races.
Pakistan fought their first battle and made a decent 154 run in total with goalkeeper Mohammed Rizwan (76) as the top scorer on the sidelines.
Pakistan dominated England throughout the tour, first at the One Day Internationals, where the hosts won the series 3-0 with a completely new and inexperienced difference and then when the senior team did the T20I series work.
