Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who was admitted to a Hindu hospital on Khar Road (Mumbai) on Sunday after complaining of shortness of breath, said on Wednesday that he is stable and recovering, Dr. Jalil Parkar told indianexpress.com on Wednesday.
Dr Parkar said: “Dilip Kumar sahab’s health is much better now. He has been stable for the last two days. Oxygen saturation has improved and breathing difficulties have also been reduced.”
Dilip Kumar’s family also took to Twitter to report on the actor’s health. In a message on the actor’s handle, he said, “Thank you for your prayers. Dilip Saab underwent a successful pleural aspiration procedure. I spoke to Dr. Jalil Parkar and Dr. Nitin Gokhale personally. They are optimistic that they will be discharged tomorrow (Thursday).”

Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu earlier this week asked fans not to believe the rumors about the health of the 98-year-old Bollywood actress.
Saira Banu’s remarks read: “In recent days my dear husband, Yousuf Khan, has been well and is recovering in a hospital in Mumbai. With this note, I want to thank you for keeping me in your prayers and for all the love and affection. My husband, my Kohinoor, the health of our Dilip Kumar Sahab is stable and the doctors have assured me that he will be discharged soon. I beg you not to believe the rumors.
