Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana made his first appearance on Monday with Dr. G.. The actor says he is excited to start filming for the upcoming film because the Comedy Drama on campus will bring back memories of his hostel life. Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, the film also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah, both starring Doctors. Khurrana plays Dr. Uday Gupta in the film and says that the “Doctor G” story is very close to his heart.
He is currently in Bhopal to shoot in a project sponsored by Junglee Pictures. I am very close to the topic of “Doctor G”.
Considering the Lockdown restrictions, we’ve all been waiting to start shooting the film and we’re glad the day has finally arrived. It is an honor to portray a doctor on screen for the first time, ”Khurrana said in a statement.
The 36-year-old Chandigarh-born actor said the film will allow him to relive “memories of being a student and living in a hostel life”.
Sharing his first look at the film, Ayushmann wrote, “Doctor G taiyyar ho kar nikle so. Ab Hogi shooting! #DoctorGFirstLook.” The lab coat, wearing black glasses and a stethoscope, makes Ayushmann look bad.
This marks Ayushmann’s third collaboration with Junglee Pictures, after ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ (2017) and ‘Badhaai Ho’ (2018). In addition to “Doctor G”, Ayushmann has several projects on her kitty in her project, including “Anek” and “Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui.” Shoojit was last seen in Sircar’s film ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ with Amitabh Bachchan.
The film was written by Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagh, Saurabh Bharat along with Kashyap.
Apart from that, Ayushmann, the last time Gulabo Sitabon was seen starring Amitabh Bachchan, now has two films. He will be seen in the films “Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui” and “Anek”.
