Honda designs a patent for the CRF300L in India

Following the filing of the CB500X motorcycle, Honda has filed a patent designed in the Indian market for the CRF300L. The bike is sold in international markets as an ADV beginner model and is a cheaper option Africa Twin CRF1000L. It was priced at $ 5,249 in the U.S. market (approximately 3.84 lakh).

CRF300L comes out as the successor to the CRF250L. It’s a tough off-road motorcycle with a 284mm Mammoth ground clearance and an 880mm high seat height. Along with this, much less attention is paid to the ability to travel or sea travel. The adventure credentials come with a 260mm suspension travel at both ends, along with a combination of 21-inch / 18-inch wire-spoke wheels.

As the successor to the CRF250L, the CRF300L achieves an increase in displacement figures. It is equipped with a single-cylinder DOHC engine cooled with 286cc liquid, capable of a maximum power of 27hp and a torque of 26.6Nm. The engine now complies with stricter Euro 5 / BS 6 emission standards.

Although the design patent is an interesting development, it does not necessarily guarantee the launch of the bike. Honda has also patented Grom (Monkey bike) in the past in India. Although the CRF300L is being considered for India, it will not be installed soon. The waste would be aimed at at least the price range 3 lakh 4 lakh (former showcase) and the market may not be available at present to distribute this amount.
