Jeep to make electric models in all segments by 2025

Jeep celebrated its 80th anniversary with its ‘zero emissions approach’ and said that the all-electric Jeep 4xe will offer zero emissions and fully electric in all SUV segments by 2025. It consists of Jeep Renegade 4xe, Jeep Compass 4xe and Jeep Wrangler 4xe.

The Jeep Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe are manufactured and sold in Europe while the Wrangler 4xe is produced in the US and sold in Europe. The automaker is preparing to introduce a new fifth-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee with a hybrid plug-in version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. The official opening of the fifth-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee is scheduled for the 2021 New York International Auto Show in August.

Jeep says the emission-free slogan marks an important milestone in the 80-year history marked by community, outdoor freedom, pioneering spirit and pioneering 4X4 innovations.

Christian Meunier, CEO of the Jeep brand, said the company is now fully committed to the electrified future. “We are expanding our portfolio to new segments, with the 3-row Jeep Grand Cherokee L, as we establish a strong foothold in the premium SUV market with our new Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. The next global product is a wonderful pipeline. which will be equipped with plug-in hybrid technology, ”he emphasizes.

Jeep recently unveiled its new 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid SUV on the 2021 Stellantis EV Day. The company is the fourth hybrid plug-in, however, it has yet to reveal the specifications of the new SUV.
