Land Rover will provide a fleet of Defender 110s to play the role of support vehicles in the toughest Adventure race in the world – Red Bull X-Alps 2021. Defender 110s will be used to transport athletes, medical teams and staff throughout the challenge 1,238 km of mountainous terrain
Vehicles will be loaded with Vital supplies and equipment during the 12-day event, starting at 8 p.m. They will be loaded with the equipment needed by the sports and crew. kg, each vehicle can be fully loaded.

Defender Vehicle Terrain Response 2 technology, including the world’s first configurable configuration, will allow drivers to adapt their support vehicles to meet driving preferences as required.

The 4×4 Land Rover Defender 110 vehicles will be equipped with custom Autohome roof shops where athletes and crew can rest and sleep between matches and then recover or sleep comfortably. “Land Rover is synonymous with Endurance Adventures and the Defense will play a vital role in the Red Bull X-Alps challenge, helping competitors and race organizers,” said race organizer Ulrich Grill.
Other accessories such as a Portable Washer, Side-Mounted Gear Carriers and Integrated Air Compressors and an integrated 4G Wi-Fi connection will help competitors make a comfortable trip as well as recover properly at the end of each day. “(In Defender’s) the unstoppable ability and practical booth (which is something) can be relied upon for participants to have rain or shine,” Grill added.

The Red Bull X-Alps 2021 competition brings together events such as hiking, ultra racing, mountaineering and paragliding for 32 participants over 12 days across five countries (Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and France). Meanwhile, a fleet of Land Rover Defender 110 will assist. The vehicle has won more than 58 international awards, including the 2021 World Car Design of the Year title at the annual World Car Awards.
