Baroda bat Deepak Hooda has applied for a non-object certificate (NOC) from the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA). “Deepa Hooda Baroda player has asked the NOC for management and he will be given it,” BCA CEO Shishir Hattangadi told ANI. The former Indian player believes leaving Hooda Baroda is a “tremendous loss” for the Cricket board as the batsman could easily have played on the sidelines for another 10 years. In January this year, Hood left the group hotel a few hours before the start of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Hood reported to the media that skipper Krunal Pandya had misbehaved with him.
“How many Cricket associations will lose a player on India’s list of probable teams? Deepak Hoodak Baroda Cricket is a big loss. They could have easily given up their services for another ten years at a young age. As a barodian it is utterly disappointing!” Irfan Pathan tweeted.
Hooda appeared in the Indian Premier League in 2021 before the Punjab Kings tournament was postponed.
The rest of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League will be played in the Basque Country from 19 September to 15 October.
