LG stops manufacturing phones: report it

LG announced in April this year the closure of the Smartphone business. The company then said it would continue to sell the phones to clean up its inventory as well as to manufacture to complete contracts. Before the deadline to completely shut down until July 31, LG has stopped the Smartphone production line.

According to Asia Business Daily (through Engadget), LG will turn it into a factory in Vietnam, where many phones are manufactured, turning it into a unit for manufacturing household appliances. There are no words in other production units.

In addition to selling the rest of the inventory, LG said it would also provide customer service support and software updates for a certain period of time. The company said that all LG mobile phones currently in use will receive three versions of the new version of Android from the year of purchase.
