The Renault Megane E-Tech electric hatchback is expected to go on sale in mid-2022. The automaker has assembled 30 prototypes for production soon which will soon begin road tests.

Here are five keys to the upcoming Renault Megane E-Tech electric hatchback.

CMF-EV platform

The Renault Megane E-Tech electric hatchback is built on the same CMF-EV architecture based on the Nissan Ariya. These two cars have different specifications. The three CMF-EV architecture has been developed by the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. It is a modular platform designed for different types of electric vehicles.

The only electric motor

The Renault Megane E-Tech electric hatchback is powered by a 60 kWh battery with a single electric motor. The electric motor offers a maximum power of 214 hp on the front wheels. A more powerful variant of the EV dual engine is on the card. It may be the same as the 302 hp that produces a dual power train like the Nissan Arya. The car can cover 450 km on a single charge.

Fast charge technology

The Renault Megane E-type electric hatchback comes with an 11 KW charger that supports fast charging. The fast charging technology of the electric hatchback allows the Renault Megane E-Type to be charged up to 130 kW.

Toned design

The Renault Megane E-Tech stands out significantly with the eVision concept. But the electric hatchback looks more practical and toned. The full-width LED day light bar has been expanded. Renault has opted for the big brand logo in the middle of the previous phase, with stylish LED headlights on the side, with integrated LED daytime running lights. The prototype coincides with contemporary Renault cars.

The side profile of the car has a plain look, while the rear has elegant LED taillights. It also gets a variety of alloy wheels, a floating roof style. The cab of the Renault Megane E-Type is expected to feature a wide range of features and technologies. The touch screen would have a large infotainment system and a fully digital controller screen.
