MG Motor is celebrating its second anniversary in India and announced on Tuesday that customers can purchase the MG Shield Protect Plan one year after the vehicle was purchased. MG Motor made its Indian debut in 2019 with Hector and has since gone on to market products like the ZS EV, Hector Plus and Gloster SUV.
Although Hector had a positive response from Indian buyers, MG has tried to diversify its line in the priority of the SUV body type. At the same time, the company says it has made significant improvements to its after-sales network to reach more and more customers. The MG Shield Protect Plan has been a way to ensure peace of mind for new cars. Now, customers will have 12 months to purchase new MG products – or 10,000km for gasoline and 15,000km for diesel cars, whatever. earlier – to opt for the Classic, Premium or Elite plan. The company has also announced that customers will now be able to extend their three-year product plan to a five-year “nominal” amount.
Emphasizing its commitment to customer satisfaction, MG’s Gaurav Gupta said in the wake of the company’s two-year anniversary in India, it was worth reaching out to other customers. “We believe in building relationships with our customers for a lifetime. Improving the flexibility of the protection plan is one of the ways we can provide it to our customers,” said MG Motor India CCO.
MG said it has now set more than 270 touchpoints for existing and future customers across the country.
