Indian Women’s Test and ODI Captain Mithali Raj has been photographed from Southampton holding a cup of tea in his hands. Mithali, who will lead India in the only test to be played in Bristol against England on June 16-19, followed by three one-day internationals, “A cuppa tea, my Thoughts and a view of 22 meters”. Mithali and the Women’s team were spending their quarantine period at the same hotel attached to Ageas Bowl Cricket Stadium in Southampton with the men’s team. The final of the first World Cup will be played from 18 to 22 June.
India and England will qualify for the Test match, and will also be the first visitor in seven years. Then, from June 27, they will face three ODIs and another 20 T20 internationals.
The first ODI will be played in Bristol on June 27, followed by the second in Taunton on June 30 and the third in Worcester.
The T20 International series, starring Harmanpreet Kaur, will be played in Northampton (June 9), the 2nd T20I Hove (July 11) and Chelmsford on July 15.
The men’s team has long engagements in England, starting with the first final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand. Since then, India have taken a long break before taking on England in a five-match series. The first test will be played at Trent Bridge from 4 to 8 August, followed by matches at Lord’s, Headingley, The Oval and Old Trafford.
