Mithali Raj Wants People to “Forward” From 2018 Ramesh Powar | Cricket News

Indian Women’s Test and ODI skipper Mithali Raj said on Tuesday that people had arrived alongside coach Ramesh Powar at the 2018 T20 2018 World Cup. Powar returned as head coach of the Women’s Cricket team after being removed from office last month at the 2018 T20 World Cup in India. Mithali was eliminated in the semifinals and the relationship between the two got out of hand as they both accused each other of unprofessional behavior.

“Well, I think we can make it from there? It’s been three years, we’re in 2021 and we should be looking forward. More series are coming and you know you’re asking the same question over and over again, then we need to go back to the past,” Mithalik told a news conference virtually.

Powari replied when asked the same question: “We interact well, otherwise I wouldn’t go back to Women’s Cricket again. They all grow up after three years, there are bigger goals in the picture.

“It’s a great opportunity for me, Mithali and the whole team to take the Women’s Cricket BCCI to another level. We’re professional enough. You all know me, I’ve been in the NCA, I’ve been with Rahul Dravid, his effects will play in this series.”

Indian men’s and women’s teams will head to the UK on June 2nd. While the men’s team will travel to Southampton, the women’s team will be based in Bristol.

“I’m sure the girls have been interacting every time they cross. It’s good that the men’s team is here because they’ve played a lot in the UK and you can ask questions, they can help, now that the girls have spent a lot of time in the Test match,” Mithali said.

The women’s team will take on England in a single test, three ODIs and three T20Is. Both teams will first qualify for the four-day test competition, starting June 16th.

The two teams will then play three ODIs starting June 27, with matches to be played in Bristol, Taunton and Worcester. They will then be divided into three T20Is, starting on July 9, and all three games will be played in Northampton, Hove and Chelmsford.
