Neymar scored one goal and created the other as Brazil beat Paraguay 2-0 on Tuesday to maintain a perfect start to the World Cup qualifiers. Substitute Lucas Paqueta won as he was injured in Asuncion as Brazil opened up a six-point lead at the top of the only team in the South American standings after securing a six-point victory. Brazil started quickly in just under four minutes on the clock. Paraguay did not break down, and central defender Omar Alderete forced a tremendous save against goalkeeper Ederson from 30 yards out.
Miguel Almiron also found a place in the box, but his shot was blocked by Eder Militao.
In the meantime, Silva quickly came out to take a chance on Richarlison.
The Everton striker thought he had extended the lead before the break with a brilliant volley, but was denied by an offside flag.
Paraguay had a tough start in the second half as Ederson saved a header from Gustavo Gomez, but Marquinhos should have doubled the visitors ’advantage somehow when Neymar’s cross went just four yards out.
Brazil had chances to kill on the counter-attack, but Neymar made an effort and Gomez did a great job to block Richarlison’s shot.
At the time of the injury, Neymar played in the Pack to send an accurate shot with his left foot on the right.
– Argentina’s two-goal lead –
Miguel Borja scored a four-minute lead in the World Cup qualifier against Argentina’s 2-2 draw with Argentina’s Barranquilla.

– Peru wins for the first time –
Peru got their first win of the qualifying campaign, but remained in the bottom of the team despite a 2-1 success in Ecuador.
Christian Cueva converted a quick counterattack in the 62nd minute and Luis Advincula secured the victory, but in the eighth minute, Alexander Dominguez shot from between the legs of the goalkeeper.
Gonzalo Plata’s injury Strike had nothing but consolation for Ecuador, but remains third.
In Caracas, Venezuela drew 0-0 with Peru to take the lead over Peru, and the visitors held on to the top four places in the best automatic standings.
