Krafton is preparing to market Battlegrounds Mobile India, an alternative to PUBG Mobile India. The launch date of Battlegrounds Mobile India has not been announced and a lot has been guessed. The game has been developed with Indian viewers in mind with customizations and features geared towards India. Battlegrounds Mobile India will also be exclusive to India. Although Krafton will announce the launch date of Battlegrounds Mobile India, fans are happy to see that the game has already received over 20 million pre-registrations. However, the game is also getting a big reaction to the government’s demands to stop the shot.
Nizamabad (Telangana) MP Arvind Dharampuri writes to IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad about Battlegrounds Mobile India, according to a report Zee News. In the letter, Dharampuri mentioned the issues of Battlegrounds Mobile India as “of a serious nature and in need of scrutiny”. These problems are related to international data transfers although data is stored in India. He also stressed that the Terms of Service of the game will be regulated by the South Korean country of Krafton. The request also calls for an analysis of Krafton’s investments and agreements with Tencent.
PUBG Mobile was banned from India last year along with other Chinese apps. Krafton announced the recovery of PUBG Mobile India in November last year but was delayed by a few months. Krafton has finally announced that it will launch the game under the name Battlegrounds Mobile India. There is no official launch date yet, but reliable sources suggest it will be on June 18, which is less than two weeks away.
