Indian bat Shubman Gill has returned home after being ruled out of a five-match Test series against England. Gill posted her story on Instagram when she came to India and was welcomed by her family with a cake. Shin had an injury and was sidelined for eight weeks when he suffered a devastating blow to Team India in the Test series against England. Sources told ANI that the injury occurred after the World Test Championship final.
“He has a Shin injury that he suffered after the WTC final against New Zealand and will take about eight weeks to heal,” a source explained.
This means that the management of the Indian team will have to consider the progress of Mayank Agarwal or KL Rahul as the second opener with Rohit Sharma.
Gill did not have a great start in the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand, scoring 28 and 8 runs. He had a good start to the first innings, but didn’t turn into a big score and gave up on the second day.
New Zealand won eight wickets to take home the Test mace.
After his Australian series debut, Gill has faced a weak patch with his stick and escaped high scores in this year’s four-match Test series against England.
