India beat Sri Lanka in a thriller in Colombo and sealed the three-day International Day series with a game in excess on Tuesday. After biting his nails, Indian coach Rahul Dravid gave his team a lively coat inside the locker room. “They answered but we answered. Like a team champion, with our backs to the wall, we found a way to win. All very well done, a great win,” Dravid said.
In the part published by BCCI, members of the Indian ODI Team also expressed their opinion on the competition.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who took three wickets and Deepak made 84 races for 8th with Chahar, said this victory is unique from where the team was (for 193 seven).
Suryakumar Yadav, who won ODI his country in the middle of the century on Tuesday, said this is the best game ever.
In the match, Sri Lanka, after winning the draw and deciding to join, won 275/9 out of a total of 50 qualifiers.
Avishka Fernando and Charith Asalanka scored half a century for India, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal picked up three baskets.
With 276 wins to go, India lost five wickets in just 116 runs. Deep Chahar reclaimed half a century with his country in a format of more than 50 years for visitors.
India chased the total number in hand and three balls in hand.
Along with the win, India got a 2-0 lead in the three-game series.
