Veteran actor Dilip Kumar is stable and could be discharged in three to four days, doctor Jalil Parkar told indianexpress.com on Tuesday.
The actor was admitted to hospital on June 6 after complaining of shortness of breath. He was diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion.
Speaking about the actor’s current state of health, Dr. Jalil Parkar said: “It is stable. Tomorrow we will decide to remove fluids from the lungs. You may be discharged in three or four days.”
On Monday, Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu posted on Twitter that the actor was doing well and that fans should not heed the “rumors” about his health.
“In recent days my dear husband, Yousuf Khan, has been well and has been recovering in a Mumbai hospital. With this note, I want to thank you for keeping me in your prayers and for all the love and affection. My husband, my Kohinoor, the health of our Dilip Kumar Sahab is stable and the doctors have assured me that he will be discharged soon. I beg you not to believe the rumors. While I am asking you to pray for Sahab’s health, I am praying for the Mighty Prayer to keep you all safe and healthy in this Pandemic, ”he said in a statement.
