The new Taycan Cross Touring could be Porsche’s next most important point, complete with a battery pack that offers the same capabilities as other Porsches on the road.
It carries the DNA of the iconic 911, which is the luxury carmaker’s Cross Utility Vehicle (CUV). This five-door electric sports car has the perfect dynamics of Porsche’s classic driving with high-tech chassis that give this electric car the ability to explore the beaten roads.

In terms of design, the flat headlights with vertical air intakes make them members of the iconic Taycan family. The flat front with curved wings and a downward sloping roof line give the EV a more versatile and sturdy look.
Porsche says the Taycan Cross Turismo EV can offer something for all Adventure enthusiasts. Creating space for scuba diving, golf, surfing or cycling equipment was very important on the list of requirements, the brand said.
That’s why the Taycan Cross Tourism EV says it has nearly 1,200 gallons of suitcases when the rear seats are folded. Cycling enthusiasts can assemble their bikes roughly where the exhaust pipes are. And guess what, it can take three electronic bikes in this rack.
Former head of the Tycan model range Stefan Weckbach said the company wanted to attract people who wanted a versatile EV in every way possible. “We want to attract people who are looking for a versatile and fully electric companion for everyday life, but also for travel and leisure adventures,” they said.

The electric vehicle offers standard traction on the wheel, air suspension and performance battery, as well as those common in Touring models. It can be 1.2 times faster than the force of gravity and can reach 100 kmph in three seconds. The two electric motors on the front and rear axles have started synchronous machines and together they drive a system of up to 560 kW.
The air-adjustable suspension height of the electric sports car is adjustable, and there’s gravel mode even for bad surfaces. “Combining requirements in terms of sports has been the biggest challenge in developing off-road capability,” Weckbach said.
The panoramic glass roof creates an additional feeling of space.
Weckbach added that the CUV is an electric sports car with the long-distance comfort of a sedan and has almost as much space as a SUV.
